From the ones I found suitable, compatible with Mac, and allowed a few days of free trial, seemed adequate. So I started looking for alternatives, and the site showed dozens of options. But I’m also too familiar with its problems, like crashes (earlier versions), files not open by different versions of the software, the need to export a file from Windows to open on Mac, and the fact that we can’t “Save as…”, only “Save a copy” after you save the current changes, losing the original file. In more than one decade I’ve seen several versions being released, a Mac version developed, and the software improved with new features.
